Off the Coast

Off the Coast looks at bodies’ volatility in collision with each other. Safadi’s film explores the human body and the body of water in the context of the contested space of the Dalieh of Raouché, Beirut’s last stretch of undeveloped public coastline under threat of privatisation and development. The divers’ sea practices become a way to stress a political and metaphysical resistance.
