Where to draw the line between priests evoking prophecies, astrologists forecasting the horoscope of a country in crisis and Chartists employing financial charts, as if they were tarot cards, to predict financial futures? Using a montage of YouTube videos, the makers of the video draw their attention to the metaphysics of the Greek crisis and the power of its visual cultures.

  • Eleana Yalouri

    Born in Athens in 1967, lives in Athens.

    Eleana Yalouri is an assistant professor at the Department of Social Anthropology at Athens’ Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences. Her teaching, research interests and her publications in periodicals and edited volumes include the following issues: theories of material culture; cultural heritage and the politics of remembering and forgetting; anthropology and arts; anthropology and archaeology.

  • Nina Pappa

    Born in Athens in 1963, lives in Athens.

    Nina Pappa is a visual artist and an assistant professor at the School of Architecture based in the National University of Athens (N.T.U.A.). Her work focuses mainly on the perception and understanding of time. She has been making recordings of people depicting behaviors and communication codes since 2007. She has shown her work in solo and group exhibitions in Greece and abroad.
